Wicklow Area Hillwalk Tours in Ireland

Guided Wicklow Day Tours for Hillwalkers

Every Day Holds A New Adventure

Hillwalking tours in Ireland can cover a wide variety of terrain and paths to highlight the stunning natural beauty of the Emerald Isle. But guided walks on Wicklow day tours have to be some of our favourite moments to share with others.

In Wicklow, allow your spirit to soar in a landscape filled with wild beauty and fantastic history. This is our very own breath-takingly beautiful backyard and we just love to share it with like-minded hillwalkers.

Join us for a guided day walk in Wicklow Mountains National Park, just south of Dublin along Ireland’s east coast. While all our Ireland hiking trips are designed to highlight the natural beauty, fascinating history, and wonderful local culture of the area, Wicklow holds a very special place in our hearts.

Here in Wicklow, we can share personal stories of the people and places you’ll encounter along your hike. We can offer a glimpse into the ways of life here, from living off the land to telling stories round the hearth in the evenings.

As locals born and bred in these Wicklow hills, there’s nothing more rewarding to us than sharing our home and our memories with interested folks from all around the world. Come join us and see for yourself why Wicklow is so special! Get in touch to book your day of hillwalking.

About Our Guided Wicklow Day Hikes

Trails for All Who Appreciate the Wonders of Nature

Meet and walk with like-minded people through some of the most memorable scenery in Ireland. We’ll walk amidst broad-leaf forests, over heather-clad hills, and through scenic remote valleys with lakes, so you can discover the timeless beauty of a hidden landscape just waiting to be explored.

All of our guided day walks in Wicklow enjoy a very relaxed pace and the trails are carefully selected to give you the maximum enjoyment out of the day.

The distance travelled can vary as we opt for certain routes or paths based on the day and the walkers. All of the trails we choose allow for extending or shortening the walk.

On an average day, we will cover a distance of 10 to 12km with a moderate ascent.

Some of our trails follow part of the Wicklow Way, which is Ireland’s oldest waymarked trail. All trails will, at some point, lead you up into the mountains where you will be rewarded with some outstanding views of the countryside.

Most walks start or finish in the charming and romantic valley of Glendalough. There, we can visit its world-famous 6th Century Monastic Settlement with the ruined churches, decorated crosses, and majestic round tower.

Glendalough is also home to two beautiful lakes, which also give Glendalough its Gaelic name: “Glen Dá Lough” meaning The Valley of The Two Lakes.

Join us for a Wicklow day tour to see for yourself why this area is known as the Garden of Ireland. Get in touch to book a hike.
