What an incredible weekend at The Wicklow Walking Festival! Despite the rain, we had an amazing turnout and enjoyed some unforgettable hikes. Stories were shared, music filled the air, new friendships were forged, and laughter echoed off the hills. This is the true spirit of exploring the great outdoors ❤️A heartfelt thank you to The Glenmalure Lodge for their outstanding hospitality throughout the weekend! And a special thanks to David, Tom, Robert, and Ciarán for their exceptional leadership and guidance over the weekend.#glenmalurelodge #wicklowwalkingfestival #outdooradventures#footfallswalkingholidays #wicklowmountains #thewicklowway See MoreSee Less

As part of our Donegal and Antrim tour, we visited the fort of Grianán of Aileach.Perched in a spectacular position at the top of Greenan Mountain, Grianán of Aileach offers views of everywhere from Glenveagh National Park and Derry City to Lough Foyle and beyond. The fort is surrounded by a dry-stone wall that is around 5 metres tall and hugs an area 23.5 metres in diameter. It is thought to have been built during the 6th or 7th century by the kings of the Cenél nÉogain, a branch of the powerful Northern Uí Néill dynasty.Their kingdom was the Inishowen Peninsula, and they could gaze across all they had conquered from their fortress. #thewildatlanticway #visitdonegal #visitireland #discoverireland #footfallswalkingholidays #footfalls.ie See MoreSee Less
