8 of us did the self-guided Wicklow Way with Footfalls. From the start, Christopher answered all queries very promptly. The accommodation was excellent. Comprehensive instructions and guides were supplied (even a pen with a torch!) All transfers either taxi or accommodation hosts was spot on. Cannot fault the company. The walk is very remote, so a few nights were a bit rushed from getting in at between 5 and 6 and then the accommodation or a taxi ran us to a pub to eat and then picked us up a couple of hours later, I think this is a small price to pay for such a beautiful and remote walk. Would absolutely use Footfalls again.

Christopher and all of Footfalls was simply outstanding in its knowledge, attention to detail, support, and advice before and during the two self-guided Irish walking trips (Wicklow Way, 92 miles) and Sheepshead Way (60 miles) that my wife and I just completed. And very fairly priced. They were sensitive to our vegan dietary needs at the B&Bs they booked for us. When we had questions mid-trip on routing or alternatives, they were there. There were zero -- really, zero -- slip-ups in trip details they arranged, meaning B&B reservations, taxi services that were required to get us to/from trailheads, mapping they provided, etc. Their service is impeccable; we can not recommend them highly enough.

I wanted to go on walking holidays in Connemara and on Achill Island in spring 2020. I already did a self-guided walking tour in Irland some years ago with another company, it was ok, but they had no flexibility. So it was great luck for me to find "Footfalls" and their offer to organize "tailor-made" tours. I booked two weeks (Western Way/Connemara with a lot of extra wishes and Achill Island) for May 2020. But then came Covid ..... We had to postpone the trip four times ... I have to thank Teresa Stacey so much she did all the organisation with booking and rebooking and everything! Finally, in May 2022 I could do my long-awaited self-guided tour and everything was perfect! I was so happy in those two weeks and I am still happy now, as I am back in Austria for two weeks. Connemara is so beautiful and so is Achill Island. The weather was perfect, the accommodation and the breakfasts too. I don`t have words for how to thank Teresa and Christopher!

Recently completed the 12-day Pembrokeshire Coastal Path self-guided walk through Footfalls. Was very happy with the level of service provided by this company, which allied to the trail itself made for a most enjoyable hiking experience. Apart from providing detailed notes/maps and booking the accommodations, Christopher and Teresa kept in regular and personalised contact with me throughout the booking process and the walk itself. Would definitely walk with Footfalls again.

Organized at relatively short notice by Christopher and Teresa of Footfalls and with the added challenges brought about by Covid-19, we thoroughly enjoyed our week's self-guided walking on the Connemara Way. Rambling along quiet country roads, forest tracks, and trails and across open moorlands gives time and space to enjoy the magnificent and ever-changing colors, shadows, and scenery of Connemara... a true feast for the senses. Even though the Way is well sign-posted, Christopher had provided us with very comprehensive route notes. He even checked our safety one day when there was torrential rain all day with many local areas flooded. This emphasized for me that Footfalls are there with you along the way albeit in the background. The B&Bs chosen were excellent and taxi pick-ups were very efficient. Overall a very well-organized and enjoyable week. Thank you, Christopher and Teresa.
