New Wild Atlantic Way Tour for 2016

The Footfalls team are really excited about bringing you this new tour for  2016  along the world-famous coastal route, the Wild Atlantic Way, taking in three counties along the south west and west coast of Ireland. Starting in Cobh Co. Cork we travel on to Kerry, Limerick, and finally Clare.

The wild Atlantic coastline of Ireland is just waiting to be explored….

Day 1 Pickup in Dublin
Our tour starts at Dublin Airport at 10 am and transfer to the village of Cobh in the south of County Cork.

Day 2 The History of Cobh
A historical walk along the Titanic Trail where we will hear all about the ill fated Titanic and the colourful history of Cobh.

Overnight Bantry.

Day 3 The Sheep’s Head Peninsula
The Sheep’s Head is a peaceful, unspoiled peninsula which has some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Ireland.

Overnight Allihies.

Day 4 The Beara Peninsula
Today’s trail takes us to the most south westerly point of the peninsula, Dursey Sound. Here we will walk the sea cliffs to Garnish pier and Strand. Distance 4 km, 200 m ascent. In the afternoon the road leads us from the Beara Peninsula in the direction of Kenmare.

Overnight Waterville

Day 5 Skellig Michael
Today our journey, weather permitting, takes us from Portmagee on a 12 Km boat ride to the famous Skellig Michael.
Skellig Michael, along with the neighbouring Little Skellig, is internationally renowned as one of the most important sites for breeding seabirds in Ireland.

Overnight Killorglin.

Day 6 The Dingle Peninsula
The Dingle Peninsula ‘the most beautiful place on earth’ (National Geographic) was voted among the top 100 destinations in the world by Trip Advisor.

Overnight In Tralee.

Day 7 The Cliffs of Moher
Our next stop is at the famous Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most popular tourist attractions, the highest sea cliffs in Europe that rise to a height of just over 200m/600ft.

Overnight, The Burren, County Clare

Day 8 Depart for Home
